Unfortunately, sperm of the patient not always can impregnate of oocyte. It is connected to a number of factors: the low maintenance in semen active-mobile spermatozoa
(asthenospermia), full absence active-mobile spermatozoa, presence in sperm individual, weak-mobile
spermatozoa (oligo-asthenospermia), etc. In this situation our experts can help to spermatozoid to impregnate of oocyte . ICSI procedure
(intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is carried out.
At carrying out ICSI sperm is processed so that from it it was possible to allocate even one morphology normal mobile spermatozoid. Then on the special device - the micromanipulator (Fig. 4), allowing to transform movements of hands of the operator into micromovements of tools, under the control of a microscope, spermatozoid inject it (is entered) inside of oocyte (Fig. 5). Thus, there is a fertilisation of wife's oocytes by spermatozoa of the husband. The further development of an embryo proceeds as well as at carrying out of standard IVF procedure with use of normal sperm of the husband.
This technique gives chance of paternity to people which under no circumstances and at any treatment could not have own children, and have been earlier compelled to address to donor sperm, that psychologically for them was unacceptable.
